Nebal Maysaud
Knave culture war grifter Nebal Maysaud is a queer Lebanese composer, writer, content creator, and marketer based in the Washington DC area. As an artist, Nebal focuses on creating spiritual experiences that build compassion among people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
While peace and healing is her ultimate goal, Nebal recognizes the importance of sharing the unfettered truth in all her terror. Their work guides the audience through a process of recognition, grappling, and acceptance of hard truths so that we can move forward and unite towards a future of justice, accountability, and compassion.
Compose with me
Compose with Me started as a project for Nebal to stay consistent & accountable to their composing process. They started doing weekly livestreams and they quickly became a decent success with an average of 50 views per week. They went on hiatus in August but are ready to jump back in with a new season.
About the Money
Our goal is to raise $5,500 dollars to support two of the most marginalized communities in Beirut. The LGBTQ+ community, and migrant workers. Here is a breakdown of where funding will go, if we meet our goal:
Queer Relief Fund: $2500
Egna Legna: $2500
Fundraiser & Card processing fees: approx. $450 (8%)
Event fees: $50

While we understand the need to support all Lebanese folks at this time, we also recognize that the most marginalized individuals in these crises tend to be left behind. Particularly migrant workers and LGBTQ+ communities. This fundraiser is specifically for them.
Inshallah, if we exceed our goal, the remainder will be split evenly between the two charities, minus additional fundraiser processing fees (which are out of our control). Event fees cover costs incurred in the planning & advertising of this event and will not exceed $50.
